He is a certified public accountant, from Externado University of Colombia, in 1982. He joined as a partner of ABS Auditores Ltda. (enterprise associated to FAST Asociados Ltda.), in April 1995.
He worked with the company Price Waterhouse for 10 years retiring as an audit manager.
During the time at the firm he acquired professional training as an external auditor and statutory auditor; also he was trained and received continuing education that allowed him to manage, supervise, execute and monitor the implementation of audit work and tax inspection in industrial/commercial companies, services, compensation funds, oil and non-profit entities, being in charge of reporting requirements for both local and international purposes.
He worked as an international consultant from 1992 to 1995 in Bolivia on a Programming System and Government Administration project, funded by the World Bank and during September and December 1996 in Nicaragua at the Integrated Financial Management and Auditing project.
